A detailed guideline for online examinations shall be notified shortly, informs Nagaland University on January 6.
Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): The Nagaland University on January 6 notified that the undergraduate odd semester examinations will be held through online mode as per the routine notified earlier on December 10, 2020.
The exams for the Three Year Degree Course BA/B.SC/B.COM/BBA/BCA 1st, 3rd and 5th Semesters are scheduled to start from January 18.
“It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that in view of the prevailing situations owing to Covid-19 Pandemic the University shall conduct Undergraduate odd semester examinations through online mode as per the routine notified earlier vide No NU/Exam/Conf/C/3-03/2016, Dated: 10-12-2020,” stated a notification from the NU on Wednesday.
“A detailed guideline for online examinations shall be notified shortly,” added the notification issued by NU Controller of Examinations.
It further stated that any “any information on examination related matters available on the official website of Nagaland University shall only be considered authentic."
Earlier on December 11, the University,while announcing the exam schedule, notified all the affiliated colleges to be prepared accordingly as the mode of Examination will be decided depending on the unfolding situation.
The announcement regarding the exams mode came on the day when the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) sought the Nagaland Chief Secretary’s intervention over the issue citing uneasiness or anxiety among concerned students.
In a representation to the CS, the Union noted that while the exams routines were announced on December 10, 2020, with less than a fortnight away from the commencement of exams, the University is yet to inform the students on the mode of examination.
“This in return has kept the concerned students at disquietude,” it added, requesting the “state government to immediately intervene and advice the NU to conduct the aforesaid exams through online mode with the scheduled exam routine.”
